Oklahoma RB Rodney Anderson facing rape allegation

TCU safety Niko Small and cornerback Ranthony Texada defend as Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson runs the ball in the first half of the Big 12 Conference championship NCAA college football game Saturday Dec. 2 2017 in Arlington Texa

Anderson is listed as the defendant in a protective order petition issued on Monday the District Court of Cleveland County.

According to the description of incident (s) in the protective order, the woman says the alleged incident occurred on November 16. He also added that the woman was trying to pursue a relationship with Anderson after they first met on November 16th, and only filed the protective order after he denied her.

While the woman indicated she did not initially remember what happened, she said a conversation she had with a friend over the weekend led to her "recalling images and feelings of (Anderson) forcing his fingers" inside her and biting her.

No charges have been filed against Anderson at this point, and a Norman police investigation is ongoing. The No. 2 Sooners play No. 3 Georgia in the Rose Bowl on January 1.

According to The Oklahoman, the accuser, who wrote in her statement that she is "scared" for her safety because Anderson knows where she lives, is a University of Oklahoma employee. Mr. Anderson did not, nor would he ever, force himself on any woman. She says she tried to get away to put clothes on, but he followed her and asked what she was doing.

"Mr. Anderson first learned of (the) request for a civil protective order late yesterday evening", the statement reads.

A hearing regarding the protective order is scheduled for December 18 at 10 a.m.in Cleveland County.

A statement from Anderson's attorney called the allegations "patently false". "Mr. Anderson is shocked and disturbed by (the woman's) claims".

In the final six weeks of the regular season, Anderson recorded 1,041 yards from scrimmage and 14 touchdowns.

Anderson is the leading running back for the Sooners this season with 960 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Sooners are fortunate that that they have two highly talented running backs like Sermon and Adams to bring in if Anderson is unavailable to play.

An Oklahoma spokesman said Monday night that the school is aware of the allegation and is gathering information. The Cincinnati Bengals selected Mixon in the second round of this year's draft.
