Dragon Ball FighterZ release date announced for early 2018

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season Pass Officially Announced, To Add 8 New Characters And More

Bandai Namco has also announced a "FighterZ Pass" for Dragon Ball FighterZ, which will give those who purchase it access to eight additional characters. The Super Warriors, Super Villains and Androids will all receive a chunk of the story from their perspective, and choice of strategic options for new destinations will alter fighting abilities in future fights.

Story Mode will surprise and delight fans with the LINK System allowing them to embody different characters, share their minds and even discuss with them while they live in the same body.

Dragon Ball FighterZ, first unveiled in June at E3, features a flashy 2D art style that captures the look and feel of the long-running anime. Series creator Akira Toriyama himself designed and created a new character called Android 21 specifically for the game.

We will let you know as soon as possible when this new update is coming.

As with most releases these days, Dragon Ball FighterZ has a Collector's Edition. Each player picks three characters from the Dragon Ball franchise to form a team and switches between them throughout a match. The aforementioned beta will be available to play that same month on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, presumably before the game releases. Lastly, there is a digital Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultimate Edition digital offer which will include the game, the FighterZ Pass, an anime music pack containing 11 songs from the DRAGON BALL anime, and a commentator voice pack. Stay tuned for more details about the open beta.

Pre-orders are live now across PS4, Xbox One and PC ahead of the game's release on January 26th.
