Tillerson on North Korea: Diplomacy will continue 'until the first bomb drops'

Rex Tillerson and Donald Trump in September

"Yes, sometimes he changes his mind".

"I am fully committed to his objectives".

Tillerson was spot on when he called Trump a "fuc*ing moron", only a clueless president would tell his Secretary of State that he is wasting his time negotiating.

- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 1, 2017.Save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done!

In an interview Sunday, however, Tillerson refuted Corker's suggestion that the president is undermining him. He called the Trump administration "unconventional", including his role within it.

I wish there were more Republicans in Congress who would publicly condemn Trump for his despicable behavior and actions.

"I think Secretary Tillerson, Secretary Mattis and Chief of Staff Kelly are those people that help separate our country from chaos", Corker told reporters at the time when asked about allegations of bad blood between Trump and Tillerson.

"This is a town that seems to relish gossip, rumor, innuendo, and they feed on it", Tillerson said. And they feed on it.

"I will work as hard as I can to implement his decisions successfully".

The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Sen.

Corker went so far as to say that Trump had "castrated" his secretary of state, in an interview with the Washington Post.

"When you publicly castrate your secretary of state, you take that off the table".

"The tweets - yes, you raise tension in the region [and] it's very irresponsible".

Trump - who swore on the campaign trail that he had "no problem" with the size of his private parts - has appeared to insistently emasculate Tillerson, a former ExxonMobil CEO, during their first year working in government.

Corker added that Tillerson is "in an incredibly frustrating place" where he "ends up not being supported in the way that I hope a secretary of state would be supported". Bob Corker's comments suggesting Trump's foreign policy statements, like the ones he's posted on Twitter, "castrate" the secretary's diplomatic efforts.
