How to Watch Patriots vs. Jets

Tom Brady completed 30 of 40 passes for 303 yards and a touchdown against an interception.

Sunday's National Football League schedule brings a slew of early games for fans to enjoy including #Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in action against a surprising New York Jets team. The team rallied and finished the game strong, earning a 24-17 win behind a controversial call by the officials against the Jets. It also wasn't the prettiest of his 187 regular-season wins. The referees reviewed the play, which would have put the score at 24-21 with nearly nine minutes left.

The quarterback threw his first touchdown of the day when he found tight end Rob Gronkowski on a back-shoulder fade route from two yards out in the waning stages of the second quarter. But after a replay review, referee Tony Corrente announced that the NY replay office had ruled that Seferian-Jenkins never regained possession in the field of play.

"I wish we'd have done better", Brady said.

Despite the sluggish start, Tom Brady can only be contained for so long. And the Jets are hanging right with the Patriots. McCown connected on touchdown passes to Seferian-Jenkins and Jeremy Kerley that put the Patriots in an early hole. Patriots running back Dion Lewis ran in a one-yard score on the next play, cutting the score to 14-7. As a result, the New York Jets didn't see their second drive start until the 14:10 mark of the fourth quarter.

When Todd Bowles' team took a 14-0 lead on Sunday afternoon, the Pats were in danger of losing their third games in six weeks.

Worst drop: In what is becoming a weekly problem, wide receiver Brandin Cooks saw a ball bounce directly off his hands on the first Pats drive of the game. They went 75 yards on eight plays for the score.

It's been that type of season, with Sunday's victory over the Jets the latest example.
