Meghan McCain joins 'The View' as regular host

TABLOIDS OUT NO BOOK PUBLISHING WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. NO ARCHIVE. NO RESALE

Will you watch McCain on The View?

As fans of the hit show are definitely informed, Jedediah Bila, who used to be the conservative voice on the panel left after one year on The View and Meghan is now the one replacing her. McCain, the daughter of Senator John McCain, describes herself as Republican who's liberal on social issues, an increasingly retro political position (and, I might add, a contradictory one). She is set to join other regular co-hosts like Joy Behar, Paula Faris, Sunny Hostin, and Whoopi Goldberg.

ABC declined to comment on McCain.

It's been months of nearly nonstop shakeup at The View, where co-host after co-host has left the show.

The timing was flawless, as McCain, 32, announced last week she was leaving her Fox News gig.

Conservative pundit Meghan McCain officially will take a seat at The View's table in the near future, our sister site Variety reports. Prior to this, Nicolle Wallace, Rosie Perez, Raven-Symone, Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron and most recently Bila departed from the show after brief stints.

As previously reported, Bila's abrupt exit came days after Hillary Clinton's appearance on "The View", and the rumor was that Bila was reprimanded for asking the former presidential candidate tough questions. "Interestingly, her Twitter bio also includes the hashtag "#FuckCancer", most likely in relation to her father's recent cancer diagnosis.
