Bulls, Dwyane Wade agree to a buyout

Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls have reportedly agreed to a buyout

Cleveland appears to be the front-runner of the four.

Wade, a 12-time All-Star, is a free agent after agreeing to a buyout with the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Wade averaged 18.3 points for Chicago last season and returned from injury down the stretch to help the Bulls get into the playoffs. For now, we are just going to have to wait and see where Wade wants to take his talents next season. The pair worked out recently, with Wade posting on Instagram: "To say we had a great week of work would be an understatement". Speaking with reporters on Friday, Pat Riley wouldn't rule out the option of a Wade return, but wouldn't talk about it directly since Wade was still under contract with the Bulls. In basketball terms, it probably makes the least sense. He said he wouldn't be among those to do so because he prefers to make his impact and influence in other ways, including talking about issues and spending millions of dollars to educate children in his hometown, Akron. The Heat already has Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson at point guard, and Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow, Rodney McGruder and Wayne Ellington to play at either shooting guard or small forward. And Wade seems to know it, as a source with knowledge of his thinking told Ramona Shelburne that Miami isn't a realistic option. The idea of playing for the Thudner could be more intriguing because of the franchise's additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to play along side Russell Westbrook.

Finally, the surprising San Antonio Spurs make the list. However, in a reduced role, D-Wade could still be an effective scorer alongside a bona fide star.

Derrick Rose and J.R. Smith will likely start the season in the backcourt, and there's no doubt about it, Jae Crowder will be seeing a lot of minutes too.

And the chance to play for Gregg Popovich and the Spurs has its merits.
