CBS live streams 2017 Emmy Awards, red carpet arrivals

Metallics and feathers galore on Emmys red carpet

When the ceremony proper begins at 8:00 p.m. ET, you'll have to change the channel; all of the Big Four networks take turns hosting the annual event, and this year it's CBS' turn. TV series like Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones, which have a loyal fan following, aren't on the list this time.

The three series already have a huge 13 statuettes between them from last weekend's Creative Arts Emmys, which recognise behind-the-scenes talent as well as guest acting appearances. If you love watching TV as much as I do, then the Emmy Awards is a celebration.

And if you're simply looking to follow along on social media, PopCulture.com will be following the show's most freakish moments and biggest winners of the night. Other series the Twin Peaks won't be able to be the part until 2018. Heading into Sunday night, Westworld and Saturday Night Live paced all shows with 22 total nominations. We are predicting the winners of all the races.

HBO's fantasy epic about noble families vying for control of the Iron Throne raked in a record-breaking 12 awards past year, but is ineligible for the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards, having started its seventh season too late. Alec Baldwin has created quite a stir portraying President Donald Trump on "SNL" - it won't be a shocker if he ends up winning the best supporting actor award during this year's Emmy Awards show.

"This is a night to celebrate television and there's no bigger star on television in the past year than Donald Trump", the late night host sniped, according to Inside Edition. Same with the case of Feud co-stars Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon.

"Veep" is competing with "Atlanta"; "black-ish,"; "Master of None"; "Silicon Valley"; "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Modern Family", which, with five previous wins in the category, is tied with "Frasier" for most top-series awards ever. Viewers can tune in to CBS at 8 p.m. EST Sunday night to watch the ceremony.

Netflix, HBO, FX and Hulu each have at least one nominated show that half of - or more than half of - Americans have never heard of.
