Hazard vows to win Champions League with Chelsea

Chris Hughton File

"Qarabag are a good team. You have a tough league, the Champions League, the FA Cup and Carabao Cup".

"When you play this type of competition you play to try to do your best and try to win every game, to go step by step". In England it's not easy to do this. "If you lose, it was the worst decision".

"When you play against a medium team you know you risk losing the game [in England]".

"It's normal when you have to play seven games in 21 days to rotate my players".

"We all know very well the importance of this player for us".

Andreas Christensen, Davide Zappacosta, Michy Batshuayi and Charly Musonda could all be in line to feature from the start, while club captain Gary Cahill will be back after missing the last three matches serving a domestic ban. In fact, the only previous meeting between English and Azerbaijani sides saw Tottenham face Qarabag in the 2015/16 Europa League group stages; the North London team won both games (3-1 at home, 1-0 in Baku).

"I have won a lot but I want to win more. I'm very calm about this because I trust my players", Conte told reporters at Chelsea's Cobham training base.

Tiemoue Bakayoko can become a "top player" if he follows the example of N'Golo Kante and improves in possession, Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has said. The teams from the third bracket will be competing at the Stamford Bridge.

With an expected lineup consisting of players who have not played with each other before, how quickly will Chelsea be able to adjust?

Qarabag is the lowest scorer in the group, but Chelsea might be in for a surprise.

Qarabag defeated FC Copenhagen in the play-off round and came through three qualifications ties to reach this stage. Since I was young, I have had a good career and I gained a lot of experience last season.

Chelsea stars, including the likes of Eden Hazard, Pedro, David Luiz and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois were all pictured looking in a very relaxed mood on the eve of their European clash.

But in the quarter-finals, Juventus found themselves in deep water against Bayern Munich.

He has struggled to get going in the Premier League so far this term following a knee operation and has started just two games.

Conte has had two Champions League campaigns as a manager with Juventus.
