Apple to hold event on September 12th

Apple iPhone 8 to be Priced Somewhere Around $999

APPLE is set to unveil the eagerly-awaited iPhone 8 at a special event on September 12, it has been claimed. As the invite notes, this will be the first-ever event to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park at the new Cupertino campus.

The keenly anticipated event set for September 12 is expected to star iPhone models marking the tenth anniversary of the culture-changing smartphones.

The event is scheduled to start at 10am Pacific Time, or 1pm Eastern, and chances are that Apple will actually launch its new devices in retail stores on Friday, September 22nd. The phone could be offered with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB of native storage, and rumors have the handset priced in the range of $1,000 to $1,400.

Apple Inc (Apple) designs, manufactures and markets mobile communication and media devices, personal computers, and portable digital music players, and a variety of related software, services, peripherals, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications. As seen in the leaks, the report says the iPhone 8 will feature a longer power button on the side.

One of the coolest features is rumoured to be wireless charging, which means the gadget will be placed on a "pad" to charge rather than needing to be plugged in. The company is also expected to announce public availability of iOS 11, tvOS 11, watchOS 4, and macOS High Sierra.

Aside from the new iPhone, the firm will also likely launch the fourth generation of its Apple TV - including support for 4K and HDR output. When on the home screen the bar can be swiped up to reveal more or you can hide it. Developer Guilherme Rambo has provided pictures to give us an idea of what things will look like.
