Taylor Swift's new album, 'Reputation,' is coming in November omg

Taylor Swift is embracing the symbol that was once used to tear her down

Swift announced the news in a series of images posted on her social media accounts Wednesday.

Over the previous several days, Taylor has mysteriously wiped out her social media and posted a video of a slithering snake. Taylor Swift fans have been awaiting this announcement for nearly three years, when she released her album "1989". Part of the reveal for the album included the news that the first new single is coming tomorrow night. Prior to "Reputation", Swift released a new album roughly every two years.

The first single from the new album will drop on Thursday (August 24, 2017).

Exactly how her teases tie into her album's overall theme is not yet clear, but they could be a reference to her complicated history with the animal. It would make a triumphant climax of the past few weeks for Swift, who faced off against the former radio DJ David Mueller who she alleged had touched her inappropriately during a meet-and-greet in 2013.

It doesn't look like Taylor is letting her haters *cough* Katy/Kim/Kanye forget about what has transpired over the last couple of years. Swift, you better be ready. Swift's sixth album will be called Reputation.

Get ready, world. Taylor Swift is back.

With 2012's "Red" and 2014's "1989", she made a dramatic shift away from country music.

In the aftermath of the announcement, fans and commenters haven't ceased speculating about what the new album might bring.

She might perform the single at the VMAs this weekend.
