BJP will stay in power for at least 50 years: Amit Shah

PM being slammed by Mayawati

Summary: BHOPAL: On BJP national president Amit Shah "s second-day here, the Madhya Pradesh Congress took out a march against alleged ruling BJP corruption".

"He said that he expected no less than 200 seats in next year's elections".

Addressing the media in Bhopal, Shah also said that earlier about 60 crore people did not have bank accounts in the country.

BJP president Amit Shah unveiled a statue of Deendayal Upadhyaya, founder-leader of the erstwhile Jan Sangh and the party's ideologue, on his three-day visit to Bhopal on Friday.

Shah is slated to meet ministers of the party-led state government.

"Today, we have a majority government at the Centre with 330 MPs, and we also have 1,387 MLAs in different states". When it was pointed out that two senior BJP members in the Madhya Pradesh cabinet, Babulal Gaur and Sartaj Singh, were dropped from the cabinet in the last reshuffle after they attained the age of 75, Shah said that it was the chief minister's prerogative.

Shah, in presence of Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Ravi Shankar Prasad and JP Nadda, said it is imperative for the BJP to emerge as the victor with two-third majority to counter the electoral disadvantage in Rajya Sabha, reports said.

"We have not come to power for 5-10 years, but at least 50 years".

"He first shared his insights from his trips so far", said a leader present at the meeting. Now, I will continue working for the party.

On the black money, BJP president said that Modi government is taking strong steps against black money.
