Taylor Swift Expected to Testify Against DJ Who Allegedly Groped Her

Taylor Swift expected to testify in photo grope case

According to USA Today, Mueller's attorney will be raising the question of mistaken identity as well as claiming that Swift only filed a lawsuit when David Mueller filed on in 2015.

Swift is seeking a verdict that awards her $1, while holding Mueller responsible and "serving as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts", her lawsuit says.

Swift, who said the groping left her "shocked and distressed", then countersued and has aggressively pursued the case.

Swift, told Mr. Mueller that he greeted her at the Pepsi Center by putting his "hands on her bottom".

Entertainment news outlet TMZ obtained and published the photo, which has since been sealed by the court.

In a deposition for the case, Swift stated: "Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there".

Mueller denies inappropriately touching Swift and is suing Swift for $3 million.

Mueller was sacked on June 4th, 2013 after Swift's team gave the photo to the radio station.

She is asking that attorney's fees and costs be paid for by Mueller along with compensatory damages to be proven at trial.

Swift and her mother Andrea will both take to the stand during the trial, as will Mueller and Shannon Melcher - his co-host on the day of the alleged assault and his girlfriend at the time.

Taylor is now expected to testify in the civil court this week, with opening statements thought to begin on Tuesday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The trial is expected to last about two weeks. The pair met Swift during a backstage meet and greet. "Swift. Mueller never sued KYGO for breach of his employment contract", reads the singers response.

Prospective jurors in a civil trial involving dueling lawsuits between Taylor Swift and an ex-Denver radio disc jockey are being asked whether they are fans of the singer-songwriter or the former host of a country music show.

Swift is countersuing, claiming sexual assault. Once the meet-and-greet was over, she says she alerted her mother as well as others on her team about what had allegedly happened. Swift's bodyguard and a photographer who took a picture that Swift says shows the assault occurring will give eyewitness accounts on her behalf.

Members of the public can line up to watch proceedings from an overflow room in the courthouse, but so far there hasn't been a big turnout. Swift might appear. The presiding judge, William J. Martínez, has warned anyone who hopes to attend to refrain from wearing clothing "bearing the name or likeness of any of the parties".
