Israeli officials say under-fire McMaster a great friend of Israel

The Trump Administration Is Breaking Out in a Mafia-Style Civil War

General H.R. McMaster, the National Security Adviser, has removed from office three persons working on the National Security Council.

Mr Trump had recently pondered a different role for General McMaster.

On "The Story" tonight, Lt. Col. Michael Waltz (Ret.) said Trump is right to be frustrated with the lack of a comprehensive strategy in Afghanistan. But McMaster has faced accusations he is anti-Israel due to his support of the Iran nuclear deal and reports that he refers to Israel as "the occupying power". Bannon pushed for the U.S.to pull out of the region, while McMaster argued for even greater involvement. He then reportedly came to the astonishing conclusion that former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice did nothing wrong by unmasking Trump campaign officials during the transition - a belief firmly at odds with past statements by Trump. But multiple officials told BuzzFeed News that the main factors were differences between McMaster and Harvey on how the Middle East directorate should be managed as well as some heated discussions about Iran's presence in Syria during policy coordinating meetings.

Although Trump earlier this year gave Mattis the authority to deploy USA military forces as he sees fit, in fact the defense secretary's plans to add around 4,000 more US troops to the 8,400 now deployed in Afghanistan are being caught up in the delay surrounding the strategy, the officials said.

What hasn't been reported is that it was McMaster who pressured Trump to agree not to let Netanyahu accompany him to the Western Wall.

Ezra Cohen-Watnick - considered to be obsessively anti Iranian.

McMaster is now involved in a power struggle within the Trump administration, facing off against the far-right wing headed by senior adviser Steve Bannon, who is attempting to bring about McMaster's resignation. The right-wing website founded by Fox News' Tucker Carlson, interviewed a former Trump administration official who said: "the president isn't a big fan of what McMaster's doing".

Other NSC aides chose to leave of their own volition, such as Victoria Coates, who has changed jobs to work under Jason Greenblatt, Trump's envoy for the Israel-Palestine peace process, and Tera Dahl, who is seeking a job at the US Agency for International Development.

One of those fired - Director for Strategic Planning, Rich Higgins - was canned last month after writing a memo that described threats to Trump's presidency to include globalists, bankers, the "deep state", and Islamists. "He's one of the few people who can articulate Trump's vision effectively", an official told the website.

Nearly one month after Lake broke that story, McMaster appears to have sent a letter to Rice informing her that she could maintain her security clearance, according to the conservative news outlet Circa, which obtained a copy of the letter.

Following the departure from the Trump administration of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, and Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, the betting game began.

Bannon is responding with media allies outside the White House.
