Chris Evans Has Best Response to Ann Coulter's Delta Rant

American commentator Ann Coulter went on the attack comparing Delta to dictators

In her weekend tweeting tirade against Delta, the conservative commentator let loose a long string of complaints against the airline after it had the nerve to ask her to change seats on her Saturday flight from LaGuardia Airport in NY to West Palm Beach, Fla.

The Atlanta-based airline responded to the controversial media figure, who was traveling on Delta Flight 2852 from NY to West Palm Beach, Florida, by chiding her for what it described as "derogatory and slanderous" posts about its customers and employees.

HuffPost accused her of seat-shaming the woman who took her extra leg room, for instance. Delta said that during some confusion over the assignments, a flight attendant asked everyone to move to the seats listed on their tickets.

Coulter started by pointing out that the issue was not the $30 but rather that Delta had unceremoniously denied her a seat that she had pre booked and paid for.

The Conservative pundit got into a war or words on Twitter over the weekend. "Her actions are unnecessary and unacceptable", the airline said.

And Delta, unbelievably enough, took to Twitter to snark back.

Delta responded in perhaps the flawless way, not riling up Coulter but acknowledging that such abusive behavior is not acceptable. Despite the fact that she had insulted pretty much anyone she could on the flight, Delta offered to refund the $30.

And at least a few people said they would stop flying Delta because of Coulter's experience. She was still able to take the same flight, at the same time, as she originally planned - just in a different seat with slightly less legroom.

"$30! It cost me $10,000 of my time to pre-select the seat I wanted, investigate type of plane & go back periodically to review seat options", she tweeted Saturday evening. She did not address the tenor of her tweets (surprise!), but Coulter has signaled that this is not what she deems to be a proper explanation. One tweet suggested racism at the heart of Coulter's ire (the other passenger had a dark complexion.) Another tweet tried to connect what happened to the conservative commentator with President Trump's immigration policies and the travel ban.

Delta through a prepared statement released on Sunday said that it was disappointed that a passenger chose to attack its employees as well as other customers publicly by posting slanderous and derogatory comments as well as photos across social media.

But Delta gate agents and flight attendants are not members of a union, the way they are at American and United. Later, Coulter tweeted a picture of the woman who was given her seat. But she did have to sit in a window seat as opposed to one along the aisle.
