Bills defensive tackle Adolphus Washington arrested on weapons charges

Bills DL Adolphus Washington arrested on weapons charge

Bills defensive lineman Adolphus Washington was arrested Sunday outside a Cincinnati-area water park on a firearms charge, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The police noticed Washington displaying a gun while he was sitting inside his vehicle, perhaps ready to defend his property from the crowd that was being removed from the park.

The Bills released a statement on Monday night regarding the second year defensive tackle.

The cops approached Washington's auto and arrested him for improperly carrying a concealed firearm since he didn't inform the police beforehand that he had a weapon in his vehicle. The suspect did not inform officers beforehand. He was arrested and has since been released. "Since it is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment".

Buffalo Bills news is light going into the NFL's most dreary portion of the offseason between the NFL Draft and training camp.

As noted in Strickley's original report, Sunday's incident was not Washington's first confrontation with law enforcement.

He's a graduate of Taft high school in Cincinnati and played football at Ohio State.

In 15 games as a rookie, Washington posted 21 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks. Washington pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor after paying an undercover officer $100 for sex.
