One dead, several injured in shooting at gender reveal party in Hamilton County

Nine people were shot - one fatally - late Saturday night at a private residence near Cincinnati, police told reporters at the scene. "I looked outside, next thing I know they just ran in and just started shooting".

A witness to the shooting called 911 and said she was sitting outside the house in her vehicle when she saw two men in hoods enter the home, open fire and run off, according to a recording of the call released early Sunday. "There was little kids hurt and everything".

The gunmen, who have not been identified, burst into the house in Colerain Township, outside Cincinnati, on Saturday evening, not long after the pregnant woman revealed she would soon give birth to a boy, according to the Cincinnati Inquirer.

"Hopefully there we can get some more information and descriptions, all the information we need to be able to proceed to continue this investigation, hopefully get the people who did the shooting", Colerain Township Police Ofc. I was sitting in my vehicle.


Five of the revelers - one in critical condition, three in fair and one stable - were hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. No motive for the shooting has been revealed.

Police said two people walked in and started shooting. "There's a pregnant girl here". Officials have not released the names of the victims.

Police arrived at the home on Capstan Drive at around 11:20 p.m.to find a woman dead on the floor, theCincinnatti Enquirer reports. "This will be one of those nights".
