Man United still want to sign top striker ahead of Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku is set to join Chelsea not Manchester United

Conte is reportedly furious at Chelsea for missing out on Lukaku, but signing both Keita and Morata could soothe the Italian's pain.

Conte is said to have walked away from Juventus after becoming frustrated with their transfer dealings, and it has been suggested the same could happen at Stamford Bridge. However, a move to Chelsea would make sense.

"I've heard criticism that his first touch is too heavy and he scores most of his goals against weaker opponents".

Blues boss Antonio Conte is angry with the Chelsea hierarchy over their perceived failure to capture Lukaku, but Higginbotham says the Belgium global would have forced the Italian to rip up the style that served him so well last season as he is not a similar player to Diego Costa, who is poised to return to Atletico Madrid.

Instead, the striker's lesser-known countryman Michy Batshuayi was brought in. And it looks like the club are ready to back their manager in the transfer market. Emenalo was at the club when Lukaku was bought and sold previously.

Meanwhile, The Sun claim that Man Utd will offer Matteo Darmian to Inter as part of the deal to sign Ivan Perisic this month. While Costa's return to Atletico Madrid is still not finalized yet, he is indeed moving closer to the exit door. Andrea Belotti of Torino also features, but his £87million release clause could put off the Blues, as does Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez while a cheaper option could be Fernando Llorente of Swansea.

The report comes after widespread reports in the British media on Thursday that Manchester United have agreed a £75m fee with Everton to sign Lukaku this summer.

The Belgian worldwide left Stamford Bridge for Everton in a £28m deal in 2014, but it looked for all the world like he was heading back to West London this summer after a failed attempt to buy him previous year.
