Trump calls Warmbier's death a 'total disgrace'

Funeral plans have been set for Otto Warmbier, the college student who died Monday almost a week after his return to the USA from North Korea where he was detained for 17 months.

After suffering for 17 months in North Korea and more than a year in a coma, University of Virginia honor student Otto F. Warmbier died on Monday at the Cincinnati hospital.

The travel company that took University of Virginia student Otto Warmbier to North Korea said Monday that it is wrangling with the 22-year-old's death and will no longer take Americans to North Korea.

Suggesting former President Barack Obama bears some blame, Trump said "the result would have been a lot different" had Warmbier been brought home sooner.

What happened to Otto Warmbier, an American college student who died just days after North Korea released him from detention, has outsiders baffled. She says Warmbier "will be missed by all those who knew and loved him". North Korea said Warmbier had contracted botulism and fell into a coma after ingestion a sleeping pill, but American doctors did not find evidence of any such illness.

Following the meeting, China's role was one of the administration's main talking points in explaining North Korea.

Another cautioned against reading too much into the message, arguing that there was no meeting earlier in the day that could have spurred the comment or that that tweet foretold some sort of unilateral action against North Korea.

Some of those companies - including China-based Young Pioneer Tours, which took Warmbier to Pyongyang - have now stopped taking Americans.

"In the final year of his life, he lived the nightmare in which the North Korean people have been trapped for 70 years: forced labor, mass starvation, systematic cruelty, torture, and murder", Sen.

Considering these facts and this tragic outcome we will no longer be organising tours for United States citizens to North Korea.

Fred Warmbier, father of Otto Warmbier, during a news conference in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 15, 2017. Work with, or compel, China to deny them and their mistresses the ability to fly to Beijing - the major airport for global travel from Pyongyang - to prevent them from buying luxury goods in China, or from transiting on to a vacation in Paris. Outside groups say North Korea tortures thousands of its own citizens at prison camps. But in May, the U.S. State Department reiterated its warnings against traveling there, saying at least 16 Americans had been detained in North Korea in the past 10 years. North Korean state media reported that he was arrested for committing "hostile acts" against the government.* Kim Hak Song also taught at PUST, which was founded by evangelical Christians and opened in 2010. He was in a vegetative state upon his arrival back to the United States.

North Korea's missile and nuclear tests, its carefully scripted propaganda bluster, even its military threats: Far from the scattershot workings of a madman, most of this fits the playbook of a small, proud country well used to stoking tensions to get concessions it would otherwise not receive from surrounding big powers. He said he was kept isolated most of the time but not physically abused. They literally hung up the phone on the US - dismantling a hotline - after our military shot down a Syrian jet.
