NEET Result 2017 unlikely to be announced on June 8

CBSE NEET Results Delayed

The Madurai Bench had on May 24 granted an interim stay on the release of NEET 2017 results.

The CBSE in the Information Bulletin has fixed June 08 as the tentative date to declare the NEET 2017 result.

It is being reported that the delay in results was due to the Madras High Court stay order after a petition challenged the different sets of question papers set for English medium and vernacular languages. Justice M V Muralidharan had also directed officials of the Medical Council of India, the CBSE Director and the Union health department to file their counter affidavits on June 7.

Whatever may be the reason, students feel that the delay in NEET 2017 result would disturb the lenghty admission process which will further affect their academic schedule.

The Central Board of Secondary Education officially announced that they will declare the results of National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) Results 2017 on June 8, 2017, on the official website.

In the recent plea, petitioner J Gladwin is asking to give students admission in MBBS and BDS courses on the basis of plus two marks.

The Tamil Nadu government on the other told the court that it always stood against NEET. Not only this but also a now fresh writ petition has also been filed in the same court seeking for canceling the exam.

MADURAI: The central and state governments have filed counter affidavits in the Madurai bench of the Madras high court in a case that sought to hold the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical admissions afresh by cancelling the NEET that was held on May 7.A batch of two cases were filed against the NEET. It would create unrest among the stakeholders. "Besides, CBSE would face contempt of court". They alleged that Indian language question papers were tougher than the English. From four sets translated in vernacular languages, three sets were randomly picked for printing.

It was only experts who decided on the difficulty level of the question papers.

In case there is a leak in vernacular language papers, it will be easy for them to conduct examinations again as only 8-10 per cent candidates will be affected while a majority of students who appeared for English medium test will remain unaffected.
