I told them "F#$k you, I'm Millwall": London hero's courageous story

Hundreds sign petition for man who fought London Bridge terrorists to be awarded George Cross

Roy Larner, a Millwall fan, has also been praised by the British soccer club for 'his vast bravery in incredibly terrifying circumstances.' The club, which has a reputation for violent supporters, in a statement said it "stands together with all other football clubs and organizations in offering its absolute support to those in need following the tragic events of last Saturday night".

If Millwall is looking for a new slogan, they may have found it. "F*** you, I'm Millwall!" has a nice ring to it.

The attack took place at London Bridge and Borough Market.

He described how the three extremists smashed open the door of the restaurant to gain entry and he later saw them shot dead by police officers when they left the premises.

In fighting back, Larner was knived eight times in the head, chest, hands and neck.

"Like an idiot I shouted back at them. Then it was, 'Islam, Islam, Islam, '" he recalled from a hospital bed. "I thought, "I need to take the p*** out of these b******s".

After three Islamic terrorists ran down people on London Bridge in a van, they got out and used long knives to attack people on the street.

As people panicked, the 47-year-old shouted: "F*** you, I'm Millwall".

Mr Larner added: "I stood in front of them trying to fight them off". Everyone else ran to the back.

Roy Larner reportedly "charged" at the terrorists to try and help others escape but was stabbed five times during the carnage on Saturday evening.

Simon Willoughby shared the fundraiser on Facebook on Sunday and wrote: "This man's name is Roy Larner a friend of mine for for the past 20 odd years!"

On Good Morning Brtitain, presenter Piers Morgan, a fan of rival London club Arsenal, told viewers: "Millwall fans get a very bad rap, a lot of it very deserved, but there are times when you really want a lot of Millwall fans, and that was one of them".

He added: 'I was on my own against all three of them, that's why I got hurt so much.

Friends visited him in the hospital with an issue of sports magazine "Runner's World" entitled 'Learn to Run'. "There was blood everywhere", he said, while sharing that doctors estimate he'll remain hospitalized for the next week.

Wellwishers left messages of praise and support on the page, which was set up by Jayne Jacob who wrote: "I have been overwhelmed with the support & love for this courageous man".
