Trump And Pence Approval Ratings Hit New Low

President Donald Trump

And indeed, according to FiveThirtyEight which aggregates approval rating polls, the Rasmussen number is now the largest outlier, rating Trump at least two points higher than every other poll.

While President Donald Trump was making his way through a multitude of global destinations, his approval rating back home remained low.

Despite the bad press, the poll found that Trump's approval rating rose to 45 percent, up four points from a previous poll last week.

A majority of people in the United States believe President Trump is abusing his powers, according to a new Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday.

On the Republican side, the biggest cohort, 30 percent, said they "somewhat" agreed with Rosenstein's decision.

President Trump has caught significant flack for claiming hostile media organizations publish "fake news".

On May 9, Trump dismissed FBI director James Comey, who had been heading the investigation into whether members of the Trump campaign had colluded with Russian officials to subvert the presidential election. The president's approval rating had steadily declined since February, when 48 percent of respondents gave him positive marks. Overall, FiveThirtyEight finds that the President's approval rating average among all pollsters is 39.1 percent.

MRG says that last fall only 29% of voters had a positive impression of Trump, while 60% viewed him negatively.

Greenberg attributes the record low ratings and high dissatisfaction to a number of factors, including the lack of any major achievements in the Trump administration so far, and seemingly endless controversies. In addition, a majority opposes the Republican plan to replace Obamacare. The survey was conducted before the Congressional Budget Office reported Tuesday that the House plan would result in 23 million more Americans becoming uninsured over the next decade. By 53% to 34%, voters said they trust the media to tell the truth about issues more than Trump.
