The OnePlus 5 might be even faster than the Galaxy S8

Alleged One Plus 5 sketches hit the web Could feature four cameras

According to the screenshot shared by GSMArena, OnePlus 5 was put through the paces on GeekBench 4 benchmark.

If this leak proves to be true, OnePlus 5 will surely create quite a ripple in the smartphone industry. Last year, the OEM released the OnePlus 3 and followed it with an improved OnePlus 3T and rumors are adamant that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will even take this year's battle for supremacy to the next level. One of the arguments posed towards the edge gained by the OnePlus 5 is, asking how could it overtake the Galaxy S8+ despite having the same processor.

For starters, the OnePlus 5 will arrive with Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS version.

Purported sketches of the OnePlus device recently turned up, revealing two exciting camera features coming to the highly anticipated handset. In the United States, they are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor but in India, the S8 series runs Exynos 8995 processor from the company.

When comparing scores - higher scores are better, and double the score indicates double the performance. Though the photos were blurry and the phone was hidden under a thick case, they did show an LED flash sitting next to the dual cameras. Apart from this, the device will pack Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 platform coupled with 8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

However, there's also some chatter that the OnePlus 5 will include a dual-camera set-up on the rear, akin to the iPhone 7 Plus, Huawei P10 and LG G6.

Both models are equipped with fast charging, which means you can get either phone's battery full in just a short while. If anything, we'd only expect to see ceramic used in a special limited edition run of the OnePlus 5.

However, these might not necessarily all be available at launch. In many ways, two front cameras on the device would be a welcome upgrade for OnePlus users, especially considering that mobile photography is something that the smartphone manufacturer is yet to master. It also considered a rounded edging that is similar to the OnePlus 3T.
