Conway Accuses Cooper of Sexism Over Viral Eye Roll

James Woods Slammed for Vile Remark About Cooper

While that may or may not be the case, it seems President Donald Trump's senior adviser, his former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, may have her work cut out for her when trying to explain the shock decision by the commander-in-chief to ax Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey.

It was announced on Tuesday afternoon that FBI Director James Comey was officially fired by President Trump.

"You don't think it looks odd at all that the President of the United States is firing the guy who's leading the investigation into the president's White House and the people around the president?"

The host had been questioning Conway about the dismissal, specifically because the surprising move was in direct contrast with the sentiments Trump expressed while on the campaign trail, where he often praised Comey's choice to reopen an investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails.

"You're conflating two things that don't belong together", Conway said.

Conway, as she's wont to do, deflected by thanking Cooper for the "trip down memory lane".

What Kellyanne fails to comprehend is that Anderson Cooper didn't roll his eyes because she was a woman.

'I think you're looking at the wrong set of facts here. She then turned Cooper's valid criticism into a moment to brag, once more, about Trump's election win.

Conway, having had a chance to see Cooper's eyeroll for herself, suggested to "Fox and Friends" Thursday morning that Cooper's treatment of her amounted to sexism. Back in November, Conway called an MSNBC clip sexist because it reported that Trump was furious with her comments about Mitt Romney.

The once ubiquitous Trump spokeswoman has been keeping a decidedly low profile in recent months - so much so that "Saturday Night Live" did a skit last week asking "Where in the World is Kellyanne Conway?".

"You know you want to question the timing of when he fires, when he hires", she said. I have no doubt that she's probably experienced sexism and misogyny at some point in her life because, let's be honest, what woman hasn't?

"I denounce whoever it is".

Conway insisted it did make sense, and that Trump's lost confidence in Comey wasn't "all of a sudden".
