Life Finds a Way as Jeff Goldblum Heads to Jurassic World 2!

Everyone's looking forward to the return of the beloved, iconic characters played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, of course, as well as an actually-pretty-good-sounding supporting cast of Toby Jones, James Cromwell, Geraldine Chaplin, and Ted "Buffalo Bill" Levine. J.A. Bayona is on board to direct with Frank Marshall producing along with Pat Crowley and Belén Atienza.

Jurassic World 2 is opening the park to a familiar face.

Jeff Goldblum previously reprised the Ian Malcolm role for 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park. In the films, he played Dr Ian Malcolm, a mathematician who came to the park as an insurance consultant and managed to survive all the deadly attacks.

Part of what made the original Jurassic Park such a magical experience in 1993 was the way in which it combined the animatronics by Stan Winston and the computer graphics from ILM to trick your eyes into believing what you were seeing was real. "When they opened Disneyland in 1956, nothing worked!"

Trevorrow is still attached to Jurassic World 2, as he co-wrote the script and is a producer on it. Vice president of production Sara Scott is overseeing production on behalf of the studio.

I'm extremely excited to see Goldblum back and hope it's more than a one-scene cameo appearance.

Jurassic World 2 is set to stampede into theaters on June 22, 2018.

The movie earned 1.67 billion Dollars worldwide in 2015 and is the fourth-highest-grossing film in history. He starred in "Independence Day: Resurgence" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel".
