Most Americans think corporations, wealthy pay too little tax

According to a Gallup poll out Monday only 45% of respondents said the commander-in-chief was keeping his promises

More U.S. citizens have lost faith in President Donald Trump's ability to keep his promises, a new survey finds.

A majority of people in the U.S.no longer believe that President Trump keeps his promises, according to a Gallup survey released Monday.

Sixty-seven percent of those polled say corporations are not paying enough in taxes, compared to 19 percent who say they are paying their fair share and 9 percent who believe they are paying too much.

The results represent a significant turnaround from February, when 62% said they saw Trump as someone who keeps his promises.

A majority of Americans, 51 percent, told Pew that they trusted what Trump said less than they trusted the statements of previous presidents.

United States President Donald Trump has shared a report of Rasmussen poll showing his approval rating at 50 percent.

Can bring about changes this country needs - 46 percent in April vs. 53 percent in February.

Meanwhile, his opponents argue he has not protected middle- and working-class Americans.

And Trump's two travel bans - both implemented via executive order - were each blocked by federal courts deeming them unconstitutional.

The ratings dive was most stark when it came to women who think Trump keeps his promises - just 40 percent now say he does, compared with 65 percent in February, a striking 25 percentage-point plunge. Still, Americans' views of presidents can fluctuate, and Trump already won the 2016 election when most Americans viewed him unfavorably.

"On issue after issue - whether it's immigration, job creation, national security - the president made very clear promises to the American people that, over and over again, he's achieving great success on".

These views could shift again, depending on Trump's actions over the course of his presidency.

Not surprisingly, the poll also showed a massive drop in Trump's trustworthiness among Democrats and those who didn't support his presidency in the first place.
