Hyundai confirms launch details of sub-compact SUV Kona

New Hyundai SUV called Kona

Continuing Hyundai's tradition of naming crossover and SUV models, KONA has also be named after travel destinations like Creta, Santa Fe, Tucson and Veracruz.

It's been confirmed that Hyundai will soon have an entirely new crossover/small SUV model available - the Hyundai Kona.

According to online reports, the new Hyundai Kona is likely to be based on the current Hyundai i20, which makes sense given that many current mini-SUVs on the market utilise supermini platforms.

HYUNDAI HAS NAMED its new compact SUV, Kona, after the coastal region in Hawaii, US.

All the brand will now say about the Kona is that it will be a B-segment SUV with a "progressive style that reflects the lifestyle of modern customers". The island's energetic image and unique lifestyle matches the All-New Hyundai Kona's dynamic character.

Though specific details remain scarce at this point, Hyundai did release a teaser image which previews the upcoming vehicle's ultra-slim LED headlamp design.

Established in 1967, Hyundai Motor Company is committed to becoming a lifetime partner in automobiles and beyond. The Kona was first introduced as the Intrado concept three years ago at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Hyundai is finally giving us a peek at its long-rumored subcompact crossover.

More information about Hyundai Motor and its products can be found at: http://worldwide.hyundai.com or http://www.hyundaiglobalnews.com.

The Kona will therefore be the smallest member of a family that also includes the Grand Santa Fe, the Santa Fe and the Tucson.
