Multiple Scandals Erupt At Fox News

The moves follow news of settlements totaling about $13 million with women who accused O'Reilly of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior.

"As a company we seek to partner with companies and programming that share our values of inclusion and diversity", Hyundai said.

On Tuesday, BMW of North America, Allstate Corp, French pharmaceuticals maker Sanofi SA, direct marketer Constant Contact, men's clothing company Untuckit and mutual fund operator T. Rowe Price all told Reuters they were no longer advertising on the show.

Hyundai, BMW, Mitsubishi and pharma giant GlaxoSmithKline are just four of the 12 advertisers whose ads have been pulled from The O'Reilly Factor.

With the Fox News deciding to stand by its biggest star, the cable network faces increasing pressure from companies and groups such as The National Organization for Women (NOW) who asked for O'Reilly to be fired. Yet two new lawsuits involving unrelated charges of sexual and racial discrimination raise serious questions about the decisions of Fox News Co-president Bill Shine and general counsel Dianne Brandi, among other executives.

According to ad-tracking firm iSpot.tv, Mercedes-Benz bought an estimated $266,477 worth of commercials on the show over the past 30 days, the tenth most, and spent $1.3 million in 2016.

While it's not clear if 21st Century Fox has any plans to actually fire Bill O'Reilly, the New York Times reported that the company took steps to exert stronger control over his behavior, including stipulations in a recent contract extension.

Wieser noted some advertisers had already chose to stay way following the sexual harassment scandals of the network's departed head, Roger Ailes, and newly concerned companies will wind up on other Fox News programs.

At a Los Angeles news conference Monday, lawyer Lisa Bloom detailed allegations against O'Reilly by Wendy Walsh, a regular guest on The O'Reilly Factor.

Toyota suspended ads for the show, saying "we take our duties as a responsible advertiser". It's watched more than any other cable network, including the entertainment ones, and O'Reilly leads the way.

A spokesman for Jenny Craig said in a statement that the weight loss company "condemns any and all forms of sexual harassment" but would not comment specifically on its advertising strategy.

The show produced over $178 million in ad revenue in 2015, said research firm Kantar Media.

T. Rowe Price said in a statement, "We regularly evaluate our media buys to ensure alignment with our corporate values, and in light of the recent allegations we have chose to pull our upcoming ads from 'The O'Reilly Factor'".

Fox News acknowledged the advertiser pullouts in a statement from a senior advertising sales exec.
