Unexploded Second World War bomb found in Thames ahead of Boat Race

Boat Race 2017 When is the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race? What the Boat Race

Oxford University are favorite to win Saturday's Boat Race against its arch-rival Cambridge University.

A suspected unexploded World War Two bomb discovered in the Thames could lead to the cancellation of tomorrow's Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race.

Team Redgrave and Team Cracknell - coached, of course, by sporting legends Sir Steve Redgrave and James Cracknell - have already gone head to head, but we'll have to wait until the BBC1 broadcast to find out who won.

Oxford and Cambridge go toe to toe and oar to oar this weekend for the 163rd Boat Race.

The women's race is due to start at 4.35pm with the men's commencing an hour later.

William Hill, the U.K.'s biggest bookmaker, said there had been " huge support" for Oxford to win this year's Boat Race, with 82 pence of every one pound ($1.25) placed in support of the squad known as the Dark Blues.

Race director Michelle Dite said: "At this stage the races will go ahead as planned", the BBC reported. Each year, the Boat Race must take place during the Easter holidays, giving organisers a period of time from Saturday 12 March to Sunday 17 April to set a date. Well like always I am hoping that mighty rowers from Cambridge University will win this year as well and give the Oxford University a good taste of their medicine.
