Samsung's Foldable Smartphone Might Be More Powerful Than Galaxy S8

However, Samsung's price includes the S-Pen. It is created by Samsung's newly acquired start-up Viv Labs, which has been founded by the original creators of Apple Siri.

When Samsung unveiled its new 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S3 tablet last month, it was clear Samsung designed it to take on Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Pro, a tablet that can transform into a powerful productivity device with the addition of a Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. Tab S3 owners can upgrade the memory of their devices on their own; a 128 GB micro SD card costs as little as $17.

The Tab S3 also supports a Pogo keyboard, which can be purchased separately for $130, starting March 24.

When it comes to the Galaxy Tab S3, we're looking at a 9.7-inch 2048×1536 resolution display, which is the same as the previous generation - Galaxy Tab S2.

"The Galaxy Tab S3 is one of the first exciting Android tablets I've seen in a long time". There are quad speakers tuned by AKG from Harman that will auto-calibrate based on how you're holding the tablet.

Better comparisons can be made once both devices land in the market.

Taking the higher end of our expectations, the Korean hardware giant has aggressively priced the high-end Galaxy Tab S3. There's also 4GB of RAM included, and USB-C for charging and connectivity. The S Pen is now larger, and feels a bit more solid, Samsung has also brought over all of the features from the Galaxy Note 7 here, like screen-off memo and more.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 launches with Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box.

Screen Off Memo is one of those features, as we mentioned, allowing you to write notes without the screen needing to be on.

"Consumers today expect their tablets to adapt and evolve with their busy and demanding lives, enabling them to do a lot more but with the convenience of a mobile device", said Alanna Cotton, vice president of product marketing at Samsung Electronics America. It will hit shelves on 31 March. While pre-orders begin today, in-store availability won't begin until March 24th.
