Luke Walton Says Bucks Staffer Touched Lakers Player During On-Court Altercation

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Milwaukee Bucks- 3/15/17 NBA Pick Odds and Prediction

The fireworks started when Milwaukee's Malcolm Brogdon delivered a hard foul to Young with 36 seconds left in the quarter.

Still, the National Basketball Association has to respond to players starting an altercation and putting their hands on an opponent during a game, and so Sunday they levied fines against three players: the Lakers' Nick Young and D'Angelo Russell, and the Bucks' Greg Monroe. Greg Monroe and D'Angelo Russell were also ejected for escalating the situation. But D'Angelo only responded after Monroe had grabbed Nick (Young) by the neck and thrown him.

"I just watched [the replay]".

"If there's nothing wrong with that, then I have no problem finding some people to hire on our staff (for the) next time we get in a skirmish", Walton said. After Young retaliated on Monroe, Russell, Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance Jr. separated Monroe from Young. If D'Angelo didn't push him, I would've been pissed off at D'Angelo.

Still, this incident shows that Walton deeply cares about this group of young players and while he may call their effort into question sometimes, there is no doubt that he loves coaching players like Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and Russell.

Khris Middleton scored a season-high 30 points as the Bucks bounced the Lakers, 107-103, in Los Angeles.

"It's important for them to know that", Walton said of his players. He did the right thing. "To see everybody respond the way they did". I'm going to make sure they're getting our message across because I don't want our young guys complaining about it all the time. Nance added 13 points after logging only eight minutes against Houston.

The Lakers (20-49) weren't aggressive enough to stop Milwaukee (34-34) from scoring 54 points in the paint.
