East Antrim MLA extends invite for 'Workshy William' to visit Carrickfergus

The couple's first day will start early Friday with the annual St. Patrick's Day parade of the Irish Guards (Will, 34, is a colonel in the Guards) at their barracks in London.

The duke and duchess are making the visit on behalf of the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, serving as unofficial ambassadors in Paris as soft diplomacy as the United Kingdom negotiates its exit from the European Union, ABC News reported.

"Any British royal has to demonstrate that occasions like Commonwealth Day matter to them, and it doesn't look that way if you choose to go skiing with your friends".

Reports said that Prince William went on a ski trip, where he was seen dancing and partying.

Because of this, Kate was "understandably less than pleased" with her husband's behavior, according to royal watch sources cited by Vanity Fair.

Prince Harry might be the Royal with the party boy reputation, but it looks like Prince William is willing to give him a run for his money. "I imagine she'll find this humiliating and William will have come in for a pasting". But of course, a source defend the prince stating that William was just having a real good time with his friends.

The trip to Paris, where William's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, was killed in a auto crash, comes as the Duke prepares to mark the 20th anniversary of her death in August this year.

Officials say there are no plans for the prince to visit the crash site in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel.

William read a message to the 150 guests from his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in which she recalled it was almost 70 years since she had first visited France.

They met President Francois Hollande and were guests of honour at a dinner to celebrate the relationship between France and Britain.

Prince William is to begin full-time royal duties this summer when he finishes his job with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, which is likely to prompt scrutiny of how much he increases his royal duties and public appearances.

The royal couple will be travelling to Paris without their children, three-year-old George and one-year-old Charlotte.
