E-mail threat forces JCC to close

Another Bomb Threat at Westside Jewish Community Center

The first bomb threat occurred on Tuesday around 9 p.m.

The Indianapolis Star reported its city's Jewish Community Center was forced to close briefly Sunday after receiving its second bomb threat in less than three weeks.

The JCC in Brighton, a suburb of Rochester, received a bomb threat around 11:40 Sunday morning.

"We will find whoever is responsible for this and bring them to justice", Cuomo said.

Last week, 20 bomb threats were called into JCCs in 12 separate states during the day, including multiple locations in NY and New Jersey. The DeWitt center was put on lockdown for some time while police investigated a non-specific threat of violence.

Cuomo decried the threats and echoed claims he made in the wake of previous threats that his state troopers would haul in the perps.

Saying he was "profoundly disturbed and disgusted" by the threat, Cuomo said it "is a despicable and cowardly act that will not be tolerated in NY. NY is one family, and an attack on one is an attack on all".

This is just one of many recent threats to the Jewish community worldwide.

Similar threats have been called in today in Wisconsin, New York and California.
