The Walking Dead Just Can't Stop Trolling Us

The Walking Dead’ season 7

(Rick clearly wants to indulge in this downtime with Michonne, away from the pressures and realities of their preparation for war.) Rick then distracts Michonne with some chili mac and cheese, and this leads to more naked recreational activities. The duo made a pact to take down Negan together.

Michonne (and maybe just a few viewers) are convinced that Rick is a goner, until he pops up and throws Michonne her dropped sword. That callback will become important later in the episode.

Most unnecessary bargaining chip: Why did Jadis try to take back Michonne's cat when negotiating the amount of guns Rick got to keep? They need those guns the soliders have. And so they hunker down with some beers and "Ready to Eat" beef brisket, which sounds like a nightmare but probably tastes good when you're used to canned everything. "They need more guns, people, time, excuses". In The Walking Dead's latest episode, "Say Yes", Rick Grimes had his back against a fairground ride, surrounded by zombies, and to escape the situation, he chose to shoot a nearby deer as a fresh-meat distraction. It is a pairing that makes sense though as Rick, Carl, Michonne and Judith were like a surrogate family well before any romantic tension was introduced. I will say this though, Seth Gilliam is a great actor (you may be able to tell that I'm finally watching The Wire), who deserves more than Gabriel can give him. First, the most likely scenario is that Eugene told Negan what he wanted to hear and when Rick and the core group attacks, he double-crosses Negan at a clutch moment to give Rick the victory, but not before Negan gets one death blow in on Eugene.

For a long time, the administrative and procreative parenting duties were split between stressed-out single dad Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), and hope-for-the-future couple Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). "We're gonna lose people. And I can lose you". You can blame me for having a life, but after that? Regardless, it means that Rick and co. will have to go back out and find more guns for the Scavengers. Michonne tells him that since the Saviors practically reign over this new world, someone will have to lead the new dynasty in Negan's absence. This is a really rough conversation, especially for those of us who want to believe Richonne is an unstoppable force. As we learned in this past episode, Sasha and Rosita aren't really keen on waiting around for things to happened. It was already established when she chose to put stitches into her own cheek after a stabbing wound from Arat but it's further established by watching this scene. She will be honest, and she'll also be amusing depending on whatever it is that you're talking about. Rosita's one-note bad attitude is starting to grate, which is why it's a relief to see her-and admit that she needs help, from Sasha of all people.

We are never really clear as to how all those zombies and weapons got to the circus, but Rick and Michonne take them all down and claim the arsenal of weapons. She picks a massive gun with a scope from the weapons haul and presents it to Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), promising to let her take the fatal shot.

At one point, Rosita heads out on her own to look for guns, but she comes up empty, save for a toy gun and a shirt splattered with walker remains. The plot can easily be summarized in two sentences - that's not a compliment! - and is an unfortunate reminder that the series is still susceptible to its most frustrating tendencies, even after a string of promising episodes at the start of season 7B.
