Bank of America reportedly financing proposed Las Vegas stadium

Raiders secure financing through new partner opening move to Las Vegas

The Oakland Raiders informed the NFL's stadium and finance committees on Monday that they have secured financing from Bank of America for their potential stadium in Las Vegas, according to multiple media reports.

NFL owners could vote on the relocation proposal at the annual league meetings, this year held in Arizona from March 26-29. It apparently wasn't Goldman Sachs either - rumor has it Goldman did some quick math and Adelson's business was more important than the Raiders business.

"I don't see an ownership position in a team from a casino", Goodell said.

The Raiders have two years remaining on their current lease in the Coliseum and are likely to play out those seasons in Oakland if a stadium is being built in Las Vegas. "That is not something that is consistent with our policies". Raiders owner Mark Davis will need 24 of the 32 owners to approve his plan for the team to leave, although the vote won't necessarily have to take place in Phoenix later this month. Bank of America is fully committed to the construction loan, which the Raiders could use in full or in part depending on sale of personal seat licenses, naming rights, etc.

And Oakland seems to understand that, as mayor Libby Schaaf also made a presentation to the league's finance and stadium committees.

"We presented a plan that we believe responsibly meets the needs of all parties", Schaaf said in a statement.
