Nintendo Switch Loses a Launch Title: The Binding of Isaac Delayed

The list for the Nintendo Switch launch titles grows ever smaller, as studio Nicalis announces that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will be delayed until future notice. Their reasoning for the late announcement was, unfortunately, "due to issues way beyond our control".

However, if pushing The Binding of Isaac back to later in March helps Nintendo deliver a steady stream of new releases through 2017, this delay could benefit the Switch in the long run.

Considering the line up of quirky or cutesy titles for the Switch at launch and Nintendo's usual family focus, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is rather a dark addition to the line up of its earliest games. Binding of Isaac's physical Switch version will come with a reversible cover, 20-page color instruction manual, and a limited edition sticker sheet.

I see Nintendo Switch as an experiment, and hopefully with some good content the console could indeed be a force to reckon with.Let us know your opinions by commenting in the comments section below. Soon you will a lot more announcements from third-party partners.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will be released sometime in March. This expansion is the follow-up to the 2015 Afterbirth expansion which was only released in 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Nicalis stated that players should expect one or two updated before the Booster Packs are added to the game.
