Pep Guardiola reveals injury fears over Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus

Moratti urges Inter to sign Manchester City sensation | Forza Italian … – Forza Italian Football

Gabriel Jesus will visit Pep Guardiola's most trusted doctor in a bid to ensure he recovers as quickly as possible from the foot injury he sustained in Manchester City's win away to Bournemouth.

The Brazilian, who has scored three goals in five games since arriving at City in January, broke a metatarsal in Monday's Premier League win at Bournemouth.

The Daily Mail says Gabriel will check in to see Dr Ramon Cugat, who Pep Guardiola values as the best in the world.

And he was right to look unhappy as Manchester City medical staff believe he will spend three months in rehabilitation, potentially ruling him out for the rest of the campaign.

The injury was subsequently diagnosed as a broken metatarsal in the 19-year-old's right foot, with Jesus going under the knife in Barcelona on Thursday in a bid to fix the problem. It was good, really good.

"Now we're giving all our support to him and his family and waiting for him to come back".

According to the Manchester Evening News, Guardiola intends to make the most of the break by jetting his players out for several days of training at the five-star Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The City manager, however, has been impressed with the way Aguero has pushed to get back into the starting line-up since being dropped.

"Sergio has to do what he's done all his career, nothing more".

"I don't have doubts about his [Aguero's] quality - that has always been there".

Before the Monaco match, City travel to Championship promotion contenders Huddersfield Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
