McMahon confirmed as SBA leader

The Senate has confirmed former WWE executive Linda McMahon as the head of the Small Business Administration.

The Republicans and Democrats have clearly been straddling their party lines with a number of Senate confirmations for Donald Trump's cabinet nominees, but it seems Linda McMahon has a way of bridging the gap this country may need more than ever before. The two Democrats from CT who defeated Linda in her previous Senate campaigns both voted for her - Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy.

The new leader of a federal agency that helps small businesses expects to draw on her own entrepreneurial experiences, including her work as executive of both a wrestling entertainment company and venture promoting leadership opportunities for women.

WWE honcho Vince McMahon was reunited with the man who shaved his head at WrestleMania in 2007. "I would also like to express my appreciation to Joe Loddo for his leadership as Acting Administrator during this transition, along with everyone at the SBA for the hard work they are doing to support America's small businesses". This has Vince, Linda, Shane, Stephanie, Triple H, and their kids with Trump in the Oval Office.

"Small businesses have had some tough blows in the last decade", McMahon said in her opening remarks. Shulkin is already the undersecretary of the DVA and cleared the Veterans Affairs Committee with a unanimous vote.

The confirmation hearings for McMahon were downright cordial compared to those of Betsy DeVos and Rex Tillerson.

The move comes after a Senate panel voted 18 to 1 in McMahon's favor. Sen. She said strengthening a small business disaster relief program would be her first priority.
