Direct control: Mass Effect: Andromeda's single-player campaign can be played offline

There is only five weeks until the game is released and it will be up to BioWare when they launch it, based on just what kind of feedback they are looking for. As a result the new Mass Effect should have more meat on its bones than grindy fetch quests and the like.

The game's creative director, Mac Walters, said to Xbox Magazine that the reason for the elimination of Paragon and Renegade was due to the exit of protagonist Commander Shepard, who has been with the franchise until "Mass Effect 3".

Created as a part of the game publisher's longstanding relationship with Dark Horse Comics, we now know that Discovery will follow a Turian soldier going undercover in the Andromeda Initiative - a private multi-species coalition seeking to travel beyond the Milky Way to the Andromeda galaxy.

Bioware's previous games have had some issues with side quests; mainly that not much came out of doing them, and they're hoping to change that with Mass Effect: Andromeda. "It's not the traditional sandbox-type game".

Aside from not being open-world, Gamble shared some of the things that players can look forward to in Mass Effect Andromeda.

To keep up on the latest on "Mass Effect Andromeda", make sure to bookmark Counsel & Heal. Also, an encounter with the Kett will enable the players to craft their plasma guns. BioWare says they likewise watched what different games have been doing, similar to The Witcher 3.

Another interesting thing about "Andromeda" is how tensions between the team occur. Aside from the Kett, players can expect separate storylines in Mass Effect Andromeda. All squad members would have their own loyalty missions as strings of objectives rather than one single mission. Will we see more interesting side-quests than what we got in Dragon Age: Inquisition?
