Eggos and huge monsters in the Stranger Things 2 Super Bowl spot

Given that the second season is still SO far away, we have a feeling that there is going to be a lot more about this show to say in due time.

We miss Stranger Things just as much as you do, and it's been a while since we've seen our favourite characters from Hawkins, Indiana. To tease this fact Stranger Things Season 2 teaser employed a retro Eggo waffle commercial.

On Friday, Entertainment Weekly released the first new photo from season 2.

The official Stranger Things Twitter account also released a cryptic image overnight, showing weather reports for Houston, where this year's Super Bowl is to be held.

The "Stranger Things" trailer features a retro Eggos ad, nose bleeds and Mike shouting 'Eleven!', though the mysterious tweenager doesn't actually feature in the clip herself.

Stranger Things 2 comes to Netflix Halloween 2017.

The second season of the Duffer Brothers' exquisitely observed nostalgic world changer will land on the spookiest night of the year, answering some of the mysteries posed by that first astounding season.

The first season chronicled the search for a young boy who vanishes under mysterious circumstances.

There's no sign of Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) in the teaser, but are expected to return.

Nonetheless, director and executive producer of the hit TV show, Shawn Levy, recently told Vanity Fair: "Season Two is bigger and potentially darker in its stakes". But for "Stranger Things" to go a whopping 15 months between seasons seems like a bit of an awards gamble for this freshman thriller.
