Sheela Balakrishnan is no longer advisor to Tamil Nadu government

AIADMK spokesperson CR Saraswathi too refused to answer any question.

These developments along with the induction of many former senior leaders into the AIADMK hierarchy by party general secretary VK Sasikala is being seen as harbinger of an imminent change in Tamil Nadu leadership.

Deepa said she would announce her next course of action on February 24, the birthday of her aunt Jayalalithaa, who died on December 5.

Meanwhile, reversing the appointments made by Jayalalithaa, three top bureaucrats of the state government have been asked to resign by CMO. Sources said a rejig in the bureaucracy was also expected.

Sasikala, who was once sacked from AIADMK's primary membership by Jayalalithaa for anti party activities, is leading the AIADMK, the second largest opposition party in the Lok Sabha with 37 members.

Sasikala Pushpa had filed a complaint that the election was not as per procedure, official sources in the poll panel said.

Earlier, pledging to take forward the legacy of Jayalalithaa, Sasikala had asserted that none other than party founder MG Ramachandran, Dravidian ideologue CN Annadurai and "Amma" would be given prominence in the party.

According to him, the authorisation letter for the nomination of the party candidate has to be signed by the party General Secretary.

Sasikala has been Jayalalithaa's closest aide since the 1980s.

Sasikala, PRO-husband V Natarajan, and their extended family have been called by rivals as the "Mannargudi Mafia", allegedly for their stranglehold over Jayalalithaa and the party.

On Friday, Sasikala sought to quell dissent within her party and strengthen her position with senior party leaders by appointing 13 organising secretaries for the party, a TOI report asserted.
